At Turnberry Golf Club we stress the importance of privacy and are committed to earning the trust of our guests by adopting high standards for the protection of personal information.

Our policy outlines the type of personal information we collect and receive, the circumstances in which we collect or receive personal information, the policies and procedures we have established outlining its use and storage, and for sharing certain types of personal information in certain limited circumstances, the procedures you should follow if you have any questions or requests in respect of your personal information or our policies and procedures and the person to whom such questions should be directed, and the means by which to communicate with that person.

In this policy "Turnberry Golf Club" means Turnberry Golf Club Inc. and its affiliated companies, as they may exist from time to time.

In this policy, personal information means information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, e-mail address or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available and is not part of your work identification.

It also includes information on guest preference and usage, when such information is supplied to or recorded by Turnberry Golf Club in the course of transacting business with an individual.

MAKING A RESERVATION

When making a reservation or using Turnberry Golf Club services it is necessary to have information in order to identify you, contact you and to process your purchase and requests. This information usually includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card number and expiration date. Sometimes we offer special offers to, for example, seniors or for children. To assess your eligibility and process your reservation correctly, we need to record your date of birth at the time of booking. You may be required to provide personal identification with your date of birth in order to verify this upon check-in.

From time to time, we offer packages or other services that involve third parties. If you are partaking of such a package or service your personal information will be shared with that third party to the extent necessary to provide that service and process the purchase or request.

Turnberry Golf Club may use the information you provide to send you offers and information about Turnberry Golf Club services and those of select third parties. Your information will not be given to these third parties but rather the offer of the third party will be provided to Turnberry Golf Club which will manage the distribution.

If you do not wish to receive such offers and information you may unsubscribe or opt-out by sending an email to general@eaglesnestgolf.com using the subject line "Unsubscribe", so indicating your request with sufficient personal identifiers so we can appropriately act on your request. All our marketing communication of this type will also contain instructions for unsubscribing.

REGISTERING WITH Turnberry GOLF CLUB'S WEB CLUB PROGRAM, CORPORATE PACKAGE MEMBERSHIP

As a friend of Turnberry you have the opportunity to belong to its Web Club and Corporate Package Membership. Because the programs are designed to deliver a higher degree of personalization of service, additional personal information will be required. Membership is voluntary. By choosing to join you have consented to the supply of and use of the personal information.

INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US IN COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING SERVICE DELIVERY SUCH AS COMMENT CARDS

Information provided to us in such a fashion will be used solely for the purpose of recording your comments, communicating with you in respect of them, reviewing them with the subject Operations and operations personnel, for the purposes of recognizing employees for excellence of service delivery and for developing improvements in service delivery.

To sign up for this service we require you to provide us with your e-mail address, first name, last name, and country of residence. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided on every e-mail message and you will no longer receive e-mail offers and promotions for the specified subscription or website, as the case may be. You may at any time in the future opt-in to receive e-mail offers.

Integrated Accessibility Standards Policy

The following policy has been established by Turnberry Golf Club Inc. to govern the provision of services with Regulation 191/11, “Integrated Accessibility Standards” (“Regulation”) under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

These standards are developed to break down barriers and increase accessibility for persons with disabilities in the areas of information and communications and employment.

Turnberry Golf Club Inc. is governed by this policy as well as the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service Policy and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 in meeting the accessibility needs of persons with disabilities.

ACCESSIBILITY PLAN

Turnberry Golf Club maintains an Accessibility Plan outlining the company’s strategy to prevent and remove barriers from its workplace and to improve opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The Accessibility Plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years, and is posted on the company’s website. Upon request, Turnberry Golf Club will provide a copy of the Accessibility Plan in an accessible format.

Turnberry Golf Club provides Concierge service to better serve persons with disabilities.

TRAINING EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS

Turnberry Golf Club will ensure that training is provided on the requirements of the accessibility standards referred to in the Regulation and continue to provide training on the Human Rights Code as it pertains to persons with disabilities, to:

  • all its employees and volunteers;
  • all persons who participate in developing Turnberry Golf Club, policies; and,
  • all other persons who provide goods, services or facilities on behalf of the company

The training will be appropriate to the duties of the employees, volunteers and other persons.

Employees will be trained when changes are made to the accessibility policy. New employees will be trained within 30 days of commencing their duties.

Turnberry Golf Club will keep a record of the training it provides.

FEEDBACK

Turnberry Golf Club will continue to ensure that its process for receiving and responding to feedback is accessible to persons with disabilities by providing, or arranging for the provision of, accessible formats and communications supports, upon request.

RECRUITMENT

Turnberry Golf Club will notify its employees and the public about the availability of accommodation for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment process.

RECRUITMENT ASSESSMENT OR SELECTION PROCESS

Turnberry Golf Club will notify job applicants, when they are individually selected to participate further in an assessment or selection process that accommodations are available upon request in relation to the materials or processes to be used.

In determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support, Turnberry Golf Club will consult with the employee making the request.

WORKPLACE EMERGENCY RESPONSE INFORMATION

Turnberry Golf Club will provide individualized workplace emergency response information to employees who have a disability, if the disability is such that the individualized information is necessary, and if Turnberry Golf Club is aware of the need for accommodation due to the employee’s disability. Turnberry Golf Club will provide this information as soon as practicable after becoming aware of the need for accommodation.

Where the employee requires assistance, Turnberry Golf Club will, with the consent of the employee, provide the workplace emergency response information to the person designated by Turnberry Golf Club to provide assistance to the employee.

Turnberry Golf Club will review the individualized workplace emergency response information when the employee moves to a different location in the organization, when the employee’s overall accommodations needs or plans are reviewed.

DOCUMENTED INDIVIDUAL ACCOMMODATION PLANS

Turnberry Golf Club will maintain a written process for the development of documented individual accommodation plans for employees with disabilities.

If requested, information regarding accessible formats and communications supports provided will also be included in individual accommodation plans.

In addition, the plans will include individualized workplace emergency response information (where required), and will identify any other accommodation that is to be provided.

RETURN TO WORK PROCESS

Turnberry Golf Club maintains a documented return to work process for its employees who have been absent from work due to a disability and who require disability-related accommodations in order to return to work.

The return to work process outlines the steps Turnberry Golf Club will take to facilitate the return to work and will include documented individual accommodation plans as part of the process.

This return to work process will not replace or override any other return to work process created by or under any other statute (i.e., the Workplace Safety Insurance Act, 1997).

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT & REDEPLOYMENT

Turnberry Golf Club will take into account the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities, as well as individual accommodation plans, when conducting performance management, providing career development and advancement to employees, or when redeploying employees.
