Hole 10 - 146 yards

Creating 16 one-shot holes with unique properties that will set them apart in the memories of golfers is a challenge, Tyers admits. “We tried to go from one extreme to another so you’re not hitting the same club,” he says. Nowhere is that more evident than at Turnberry’s 10th hole, which follows the forced carry on the previous hole.

Though there is no water in play on the 10th, it is no less bold. The green is flanked by bunkers, offering no respite to mishit tee shots. However, there is also plenty of short grass surrounding the green, allowing for creative recovery shots.
