Hole 8 - 165 yards

Among the first holes at Turnberry with significant elevation change, the eighth hole plays across a small burn to a double green shared with the second hole. The green is sloped hard left to right towards the burn that runs to the front of the second putting surface. The double green concept was developed after Tyers made a trip to Scotland to visit The Carrick, a course the firm created in Loch Lomond.

“I loved seeing the huge double greens and seeing the movement within them,” Tyers says about Scottish courses.

“Sometimes there are no rules in golf design.”A kicker slope can be found on the left, allowing crafty golfers to feed the ball into the green.
